Personalise how Identity First looks and behaves โ your layout, your notifications, your data.
The Settings screen lets you switch between different visual modes for the Home screen and Identities page. Each tap cycles to the next option โ there's no save button, changes apply instantly.
Theme controls whether the app follows your phone's system setting, stays in dark mode, or switches to light mode. Most users leave it on Auto.
Progress Display changes whether habit progress shows as a percentage ("75%") or a counter ("3 of 4") on the Home screen.
The profile editor lets you set the display name that appears in the app. Your email address is shown for reference but can't be changed here โ it's tied to your account credentials.
Tap Save to update your name. The button briefly shows "Saved" to confirm, then returns to normal. No page reload, no wait โ it applies immediately.
Notifications require the iOS app. Once enabled, you control when and how often Identity First reaches out โ not the other way around.
Quiet hours define a window where no notifications are sent. Set your start time (e.g. 10 PM) and end time (e.g. 8 AM) and the app goes completely silent in between.
Intensity sets the overall frequency. Low limits notifications to a few key moments per week โ Monday motivation and major milestones. Moderate allows up to one notification per day, but only when there's something genuinely worth saying.
The evening check-in is an optional reminder to log any habits you haven't recorded yet that day. Set it for whenever works โ 8 PM, 9 PM, whenever you wind down.
Download My Data exports everything you've ever logged โ all identities, habits, and proof entries โ as a JSON file. On iOS it goes to the share sheet so you can save it to Files, email it to yourself, or do whatever you like with it.
If you ever want to leave, Delete Account is a two-step confirmation. The first tap reveals the confirmation panel โ accidental taps skip past it. Once confirmed, all your data is deleted from the server and you're signed out. There's no going back, and that's by design.
