Proof Logging

Your actions,
permanently recorded

Every session you log is evidence that your identity is real. Here's how the proof system works.

Instant feedback
The UI updates immediately — no waiting for server confirmation.
Mistakes are fixable
Long-press any logged session to get a 3-second undo window.
📅
Past sessions count
Log evidence for any previous day from the History calendar.
Bonus sessions welcome
Hit your goal? Keep going. Every extra session is recorded.
One tap.
Session logged.

Tap the cast circle next to any habit. It fills in with your identity's color, a checkmark appears, and your session is saved — all before the server even responds.

This optimistic approach means the app never feels slow. If something goes wrong in the background, the session is quietly removed and you'll see an error notice.

  • Instant feedback — the circle fills the moment you tap
  • Background sync — writes to Supabase while you move on
  • Auto-rollback — reverts if the server rejects the write

Hit your goal?
Keep going.

Once you meet your habit's target for the day or week, the button doesn't disappear — it transforms into a Bonus button.

Bonus sessions are logged identically to regular sessions. They all count toward your streak and appear in your history. The only difference is how the button looks, reminding you that you're already in bonus territory.

  • No ceiling — log as many bonus sessions as you want
  • All sessions recorded — bonus votes saved identically in DB
  • Subtle design — transparent style signals "above and beyond"

Long-press
to undo.

Logged a session by accident? Press and hold the completed habit's circle for about a third of a second. It shakes and turns red — you have 3 seconds to tap it again to undo, or it reverts automatically.

Undo removes your most recent session for that habit today. If you logged several today, the row stays in undo mode so you can keep tapping to peel them off one at a time. It's intentionally a quick escape hatch — for editing older days, use the History calendar.

1
Tap the circle — it fills with your identity colour
2
Oops — press and hold the filled circle (~350ms)
3
Circle shakes and turns red — 3 seconds to act

Marked in
your color.

When a habit is done, its cast circle fills in with your identity's color — not a generic amber — creating a visual link between your actions and the identity they build. Bonus sessions add a small lightning glow.

Next to each habit you'll see a quiet count: how many sessions you've logged today for daily habits, or your progress toward the weekly target (like "2 / 4") for weekly habits. The habit name gets crossed out once you've hit the goal.

  • Identity color — the circle matches the persona you chose
  • At-a-glance count — today's sessions, or progress toward the weekly goal
  • Crossed off when done — the habit name strikes through once the goal is met

Forgot to log
yesterday? No problem.

Open the History tab and tap any past day. The day-detail panel lists each of your habits, and any you didn't log shows a + Late evidence button — useful when you worked out but forgot to log it.

Late entries are flagged in the Evidence Heatmap (striped squares with a "Late" marker) so you can see which sessions were logged in real time vs. added after the fact. Everything still counts toward your streaks and weekly goals.

  • Any past day — tap a date on the calendar to open its panel
  • Marked as late — the heatmap distinguishes real-time vs. retroactive
  • Counts everywhere — streaks, weekly goals, history all updated

Remove any
past session.

In the History day-detail panel, swipe a logged session to the left to reveal a red Delete button, then tap it to permanently remove that vote — useful if you logged something by mistake days ago and just noticed.

Unlike the long-press undo (which only works for today's latest session), this lets you remove any vote from any past date. The change reflects immediately in your streaks and history.

  • Any past vote — not limited to today or the most recent
  • Permanent removal — no recovery after deletion
  • Streaks update — removing a session may break a streak

Life happens.
Take a grace day.

Some days you genuinely can't show up — you're sick, travelling, or dealing with a family event. Instead of letting that break your momentum, you can mark a habit as exempt for that day.

Open a day in the History calendar and expand "Can't do some of these?". Pick a reason, then flip the switch on any habit you couldn't do. An exempt day doesn't count as a miss — it's simply left out of your weekly score instead of dragging it down.

  • Three honest reasons — sick or recovering, travel / no access, family or life event
  • Protects your score — an exempt day is excluded, not counted as a miss
  • Exempt all at once — one tap when several habits share the same reason
  • Reversible — flip the switch back any time to undo the exemption
